Income Tax Department Raids Offices and Residences of Pushpa 2 and Game Changer Producers

The Telugu film industry, riding high on the success of blockbuster films like Pushpa 2: The Rule, Game Changer, and Sankrantiki Vasthunnam, faced a major disruption as the Income Tax (IT) department conducted raids on the offices and residences of their producers.

Producers associated with Mythri Movie Makers and Sri Venkateswara Creations, including Dil Raju, his daughter Hansika Reddy, business partner Shirish, and Mythri Movie Makers’ Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, were the focus of the raids. The operation involved over 50 IT teams and targeted eight locations, including their residences, offices, and other affiliated properties.

While the IT department has yet to officially comment on the reason behind the raids, speculation suggests it could be related to the massive budgets and revenues shared by these production houses on social media. Pushpa 2 has grossed over ₹1700 crore worldwide, while Game Changer and Sankrantiki Vasthunnam have collectively earned ₹400-500 crore.

The raids have caused a stir in the Telugu film industry, which has been thriving in recent years. However, no official statements have been made by the affected production companies regarding the incident.
